Spirit and Rain by Nollaig Spirit and Rain by Nollaig
An actual scene with Spirit and Rain, rather than just sketches of Spirit. Other than the grass (laziness always kicks in towards the end) and a few minor details, I'm actually pretty happy with this. Thrilled with the sky, and for the most part, the horses. Wewt. Largely because I copped out on the one part I can't do, the legs, by covering em up with dodgy grass.

Ah grass, how I love thee, dodgy as you may be.

Some progress caps: [link]

Allowing download again so people who think it looks like a screenshot can see all the messy detail XD

Thanks! And nope, Jasc Paint Shop Pro. Which is a program so old it doesn't even exist anymore, now Corel own Paintshop. XD I used vectors! (Bit like technical drawing/geomtry), which I use for all my art. Coz I don't haz tablet.

I dunno that I'd be any better with one tbh, I'm so used to using my vectors. Also hey (peeked at your profile) you've an Irish name, correctly spelled and all! Is that coincidental or are you part Irish?

I had a crappy little tablet for a while and it just didn't do ANYTHING right. I'd love one of those Cintiq ones, the ones where you see your computer screen ON the tablet and draw directly onto it. They cost like 1000 euro though. XD
