30. Under The Rain 2013 UPDATE!

Comments from 2013: Second re-vamp of this picture! It started life in 2009 as a terrible drawing of Simba 'shopped into a background screen-capped from the movie, as I could not yet draw backgrounds. I believe it was only the third TLK picture I ever drew. In 2011, I re-drew it, with a better Simba and an original background, for the 100 Themes Challenge. However that was before I developed my own lineart style, and before I stopped using fuzzy shading. So, in 2013, I have re-drawn it again - or rather, I've redrawn Simba. Haven't touched the background, because my skills are such that I cannot yet improve upon that. Maybe in another 2 years eh?!

I hope this makes my TLK fans happy, you guys are my original fanbase on here. I may redo more old pictures like this, so if you've any favourites you'd like me to do, leave me a comment!

Comments from 2011: This is one of my favourite scenes in the movie. I love when he looks up to the opening in the clouds and you hear Mufasa's voice saying 'Remember...' :'D

Referenced his expression from a close up in that scene because it's exactly what I wanted.

Also can I just say - I LOVE MY ROCKS. And I love overlay for helping me with them. They look SO AWESOME. I've never been happier with rocks I've drawn. Definitely my favourite part of the whole picture lol.
